This dessert is so easy to make and it is a perfect summer treat. It is not overly sweet but will satisfy any sweet tooth.
This recipe does not require turning your oven on, which is alway a plus! I love making these individual desserts for adults and children.
Strawberry Yogurt Panna Cotta
Ingredients
Yogurt Layer
- 2 1/4 cup greek yogurt
- 1 tbsp gelatin
- 100 ml milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Strawberry Layer
- 1 tbsp gelatin
- 100 ml water
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 3 cup strawberries chopped
Instructions
Yogurt Layer
- Combine gelatin and milk in the small bowl, leave it for 15-20 minutes to bloom.
- Whisk yogurt and sugar until sugar is dissolved.
- Microwave gelatin and milk mixture for 30 sec increments until fully dissolved, then add yogurt mixture, whisk to combine.
- Divide the mixture into two equal parts and set aside.
Strawberry Layer
- Combine gelatin and water, leave it for 15-20 min to bloom.
- Blend strawberries and sugar with the immersion blender.
- Microwave gelatin in 30 sec increments until fully dissolved, then add to strawberries and sugar mixture.
- Add 5 tbsp of strawberry mixture to one of the yogurt parts.
First Layer
- Fill glasses with yogurt and strawberry mixture layer first, leave it to set in the freezer for 15 min.
Second Layer
- Take glasses out of the freezer and fill them with strawberry mixture, leave them again in the freezer for 15 min until fully set. You can leave 2-3 tbsp of strawberry mixture to decorate the top layer.
Third Layer
- Take glasses out of the freezer and fill them with the yogurt mixture. Decorate with the leftover strawberry mixture on top. Leave in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to set.
Notes
I used Oui Yogurt jars for this recipe, which are 5oz each. This recipe makes about 7 individual 5oz jars.
