This is the best orange cranberry sauce that I have ever tried and I’ve been making this recipe year after year.
I always get excited when I start to see cranberries in the store. It means that holidays are coming and it is time to treat ourselves to this yummy homemade cranberry sauce.
It has a hint of orange and notes of cinnamon that when combined with sweet and tart cranberry sauce it makes a divine taste. In addition, it is super fast and easy to make. And, it only takes a few ingredients:

* Sugar
* Orange
* Cinnamon
The Best Orange Cranberry Sauce
Equipment
- Electric or Gas Range
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup water
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- 12 oz fresh cranberries
- 1-2 cinnamon sticks
- 2-3 cinnamon sticks
Instructions
- Add orange juice, water, sugar and a pinch of salt in a large saucepan. Heat over medium heat until sugar is dissolved, stirring frequently.
- Then add cranberries, cinnamon sticks and orange peels.
- Bring to a simmer over medium heat and continue cooking for about 10 minutes.
- After 10 minutes or when all of the cranberries have popped, take it off the heat and let it cool completely.
- Sauce can be made up to 2 days in advance and stored in the refrigerator until ready to use.
